MSX Player

This page is dedicated to MSX Player, the official MSX emulator from ASCII Corporation. It contains a little technical background about the emulator and links to other MSX Player related sites.

MSX Player is developed for the the Elate/Intent platform from TAO Group.

Elate
A real-time OS for embedded devices. It is used in several mobile telephones.
Intent
A very efficient Java Virtual Machine (JVM) together with a set of class libraries, targeted to multimedia applications.

At this moment I do not know for sure if MSX Player only needs Intent or that it also relies on the underlying Elate operating system. As far as I know, Intent is available for multiple platforms (like Linux, Windows and Amiga) but I'm less sure about Elate.
